Visionary Leadership Skills: Skills and Tools for Creative Leadership

Robert B Dilts

If I could only have one leadership book, this would probably be it.

The tools and models included in the book are based on studying what successful leaders actually do in the real world as opposed to being an academic treatise on the theory of leadership.

The book is particularly useful in helping leaders to develop a vision and create alignment between this mission, the values of the organisation and competencies of the people.  It provides a blueprint for going from vision to action.

Full of useful exercises and opportunities to reflect on your style as a leader and practical advice for plugging any “holes”, it is a book that you will continue to refer to long after the first reading.

I recommend this book to new managers and seasoned campaigners alike – it really does contain something for everyone (and seemingly something new on each re-reading).
