“Unclose your mind. You are not a prisoner. You are a bird in flight, searching the skies for dreams.” ― Haruki Murakami
What is Coaching?
Coaching is a process that helps people identify and achieve personal goals. It is about getting the very best out of you and enabling you to make choices that will improve your life.
Have you ever asked yourself questions such as?
- How can I manage my time better to achieve all I want in life?
- What should I do next in my career?
- How can I reduce the stress in my job or my life?
- What can I do to achieve a better balance between work life and home life?
- How can I develop my capabilities – be more confident? manage my state? be more motivated?
- Is it possible to improve my relationships at home or at work?
These are the types of questions clients come to us with every day. Using a variety of coaching techniques we are able to work with clients to move them from where they are to where they want to be.
How does it Work?
A coach is someone who, through careful and insightful questioning helps you to gain clarity on your current situation, identify what it is you truly want and works with you to remove barriers and supports you to take action to move towards what you desire.
This coaching approach can be applied to all aspects of life. If you’ve ever struggled with anything – whether it be sticking to a diet, learning a language, moving out of your comfort zone, standing up for yourself at work, delivering a presentation, or achieving those things you always wanted to do, then consulting a life coach could help you.
A good coach will tailor their approach to suit your needs in planning the most effective route to your goal. Some people feel intimidated by the idea of change and so need to take things very slowly, other people get impatient and lose interest if their dreams aren’t realised immediately.
We work with people from all personal and professional backgrounds to improve their strengths and build upon their weaknesses to achieve their personal goals and make the most of their lives.
First, a question… what would you think of a plumber who turned up at your house to fix a leak with only one spanner? Or a carpenter hired to fix a wobbly shelf who only had a hammer? You’d probably think they weren’t very good wouldn’t you?
The same applies to coaches. Effective coaches have a number of tools at their disposal so you can be sure they always have the right tool for the job.
As well as being qualified coaches, we have a number of other skills and qualifications that mean we can offer a wide range of flexibility in tailoring an approach that is right for you. Click on the links below to find out more.
